JOB DUTIES: Design and build highly available voice and video environments that lets employees communicate and collaborate easily and intuitively across functional and geographic boundaries. Apply working knowledge of a broad set of communication technologies including room and desktop video conferencing, Zoom, Jabber, audio/visual equipment, Cisco Unified Call Manager, and Cisco video conferencing room infrastructure. Provide systems configuration and documentation, software installation and upgrades, technical support and troubleshooting, hardware builds and standards definition, new feature implementation, and system performance measurement and tuning. Establish and follow policies and change procedures for infrastructure administration, and follow best practices for enterprise monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance. Work with key business users to understand the business requirements and potential collaboration solutions within the current architecture. Work on daily ticket submittals to tier 3 from end users for support and resolution. Support all lower level support issues and be able to perform support and follow through to resolution for local issues affecting the business. Drive projects and be a representative for the global Unified Communications team for local support. Assess and perform systems utilization and headroom reports to assist in troubleshooting and performance tuning. Create and maintain detailed systems documentation and post to shares for team information sharing.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. *In lieu of Bachelor s Degree, employer will accept 3 years of related working experience.
Experience must include five years in each of the following:
1. Designing, planning and executing voice services TDM and IP Telephony.
2. Experience in implementing Voicemail, legacy PBX migrations and IP Telephony platform upgrades.
3. Develop enterprise level Dial plan design, Digit manipulation, Dial peer configuration.
4. Deployment of SBC for SIP.
5. Troubleshooting Voice Codec, Cisco WebEx & Jabber and signaling protocols ISDN, Analog and T1/E1 PRI.
6. Work with Voice and Media Protocols such as SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP, RTP/RTCP and H.248
7. Configure and troubleshoot CUPS, SRST, Gateways/Gatekeepers, VG224 & VG248 and ATA's.
8. Experience in working large enterprise environment of LAN/WAN/WLAN.
9. Implementation of QoS and troubleshoot issues related to routing protocols OSPF, BGP, and Cisco Switches for Layer 2 & 3 Switching, Trunking (802.1q and ISL) and HSRP.
