Position Summary:

Provide supplemental educational services to B.Braun customers, potential customers, and sales representatives based on the needs of the individual territories. Functions as a senior team member and mentor. The Clinical Educator reports to the National Manager, Clinical Support and Services

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Direct involvement with product evaluation and conversion processes under the direction of the Sales Representative/Clinical Nurse Consultant before, during, and after product implementation.
  • Provide in-service presentations on products and related applications.
  • Assist with and provide guidance to healthcare professionals (based on corporate guidelines) during an evaluation or conversion process, including product change over and product stocking.
  • Assist the Sales Representative with trouble-shooting clinical applications.
  • Provide follow-up hospital in-servicing as needed.
  • Assure that appropriate information is accurately gathered and is clearly and concisely communicated to the Sales Representative and Clinical Nurse Consultant in a timely fashion; therefore, issues and matters of concern may immediately be attended by a B.Braun representative.
  • Functions as a senior team member. When assigned, acts as a team leader and mentor to junior team members. May also be assigned as a field trainer.
  • Assumes leadership responsibilities when assigned as team leader.
  • Assumes other team leadership responsibilities as assigned.
  • Clinical Educators must complete all expense report recording properly in a timely manner.Maintain state nursing license requirements and provide copies of renewed licenses to B.Braun.
  • Completes required continuing education units (CEU) based on individual state requirements.
  • Adheres to Nurse Educator Professional Guidelines.

Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc


  • Registered Nurse with current state nursing license in good standing
  • Relevant clinical experience (5-7 years)
  • 90% travel required
  • Valid driver's license, reliable automobile, and good driving record


  • Preferable areas of expertise include the following: Critical Care, IV Therapy, Hematology/Oncology, PACU, ER, PICU, and NICU.
  • BSN or graduate degree preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
