thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking a Violation Coordinator in Manhattan, NY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Enter and track all forms filed with the NYC DOB related to elevator testing and violations into the NYC DOB NOW system as well as tkE internal systems

  • Coordinate with customers and third-party inspectors for completion of forms (including constant follow up as needed)

  • Coordinate with other internal departments to ensure prompt payment of all NYC DOB filing fees and payments

  • Maintain updated, accurate, and detailed tracking spreadsheet of all NYC DOB filings

  • Perform research required to determine/project tkE risk/exposure to NYC DOB penalties

  • Answer and send emails internally and externally

  • Attend ECB hearings as needed

  • File paperwork with NYC DOB in person as needed

  • Ability to obtain NYC Expeditors License

  • Handling purchases of customers permits, scheduling inspections, communicating with customers regarding fire and generator tests as well as setting inspections up with Mechanics

  • Working with the State to coordinate a monthly testing schedule

  • Working with the State inspectors to coordinate testing start times and locations pertaining to annual and retest inspections

  • Tracking 90 and 60 day State write-ups

  • Documenting all State deficiencies

  • Create all billable and non-billable repairs in Oracle for testing permit fees

  • Create all billable inspections in Oracle

  • Tracking annual inspection expiration dates


  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Proficient analytical, customer service, communication, organization and MS Outlook, Word & Excel skills are essential for this position

  • Extremely detail oriented

  • Highly organized

  • Must be willing to learn a variety of tasks and assist the team as needed

  • Create spreadsheets, reports, oracle experience. Familiar with DOB processes

  • Elevator industry experience is a plus
