Position Overview :

thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions is currently seeking a PROJECT Manager for our ATLANTA, GEORGIA office location. We are looking for a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each challenge.

Our Project Manager is responsible for the successful development and execution of service revamp projects within the mining, minerals processing and cement industries in North America. This position works in conjunction with our sales engineers towards the preparation of proposals, covering both technical and commercial aspects, for our technologies, products and services. Our Project Manager works directly with customers, as well as with all our internal departments and office locations worldwide, starting with the sales process and ending with project completion.

Duties and Responsibilities :


  • Develop concepts and solutions for a successful bid of our products and services, in conjunction with sales management

  • Establish contact with the technical and purchasing personnel of our customers

  • Analyze a customer's particular requirements and project bid specifications Manage distribution of information to all relevant internal resources

  • Determine and select suitable equipment from our portfolio and develop process flow sheets in cooperation with internal resources for the project as needed

  • Coordinate the establishing of technical calculations by specialist engineers and establish technical calculations for equipment shown on the flow sheets

  • Coordinate all project-specific engineering efforts with our office locations worldwide

  • Prepare cost estimates based upon internal (proprietary equipment) and external (sub suppliers, contractors, consultants) sources

  • Prepare budgetary or firm proposals. Define, revise and adjust scope of proposal in terms of scope of supply, options offered, pricing, delivery, installation, in conjunction with sales management

  • Develop project execution plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

  • Maintain and enhance contact with customer, to clarify specific requirements of each project

  • Track project performance in terms of schedule and cost, in conjunction with commercial project management

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Process/Electrical or Mining Engineering

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining, aggregates, cement, industrial minerals or related industries

  • Ability to travel for business internationally, predominantly in the USA, Canada, Mexico, up to a maximum of 40% of time

  • Proficiency with standard MS software

Preferred Qualifications :


  • Skilled project management professional with PMP

  • Basic knowledge of:

    • Design software (AutoCAD, Inventor or similar),

    • Project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera or similar)
