The Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products Group Engineering team is looking for an Inspection Technology PlatformsLeader. The ideal Platforms Leader will have an inspection systems background and experience to guide the advancement of our inspection technologies to enable the highest product quality assurance and most competitive state possible. This individual is primarily responsible for determining inspection technology that enables the automation of product inspection; leading the development and commercialization of proprietary inspection systems; working closely with operations to improve performance of inspection systems including the implementation of standard asset strategies (strategy for operating and maintaining); and developing/managing plans for sustainability. This position can be based out of Easton, PA or Green Bay, WI.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Evaluating inspection technologies with goal of establishing inspection platforms that delivers greatest value
Developing and commercializing inspection systems
Advancing performance of inspection platforms
Working with quality group and operations to define product attributes to be measured and disposition of product that does not meet desired attributes
Working closely with facility operations teams to implement standard asset strategies, improve performance and management of change
Promoting knowledge sharing across the inspection platforms to fully leverage innovation and process improvements
Assisting/leading with design, installation, check-out, commissioning, and start-up activities
Assisting in troubleshooting, and/or assembling technical resources, to resolve complex performance issues
Building a network of internal and external resources (technical, engineering, operations, vendors) for platform advancement and sustainability
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering
Minimum 3 years of inspection experience including interfacing with PLCs
Willing and able to work up to 12-hour night or day shifts during trials, down days, or project start-up support as business needs require
Willing and able to travel 50% on average per year (travel may vary based on business needs)

Experienced in developing asset strategies (PMs, spare parts, lubrication, etc.)
Experienced in technician skill development
Experienced in equipment data acquisition to monitor/evaluate performance
Experience with developing equipment specifications; procurement of equipment; and leading factory acceptances, commissioning and startups
Experience working in a technology platform-based system
