Job Description:

POSITION TITLE: Lead, Process Improvement - Store Operations

REPORTS TO: Manager, Process Improvement - Store Operations



Support the development and optimization of processes for Aerie and American Eagle Outfitters to better service the customer while increasing profitability.


  • Creatively solve store problems to drive margin for the company while improving the Omni channel customer experience

  • Build and maintain a value stream map for the POS process in-store

  • Develop time-studies to support key business decisions on new processes

  • Develop and maintain a line management process; ensuring resources are deployed in a timely fashion to reduce line abandonment and improve the customer experience

  • Develop the ROI for process improvement initiatives to support project prioritization

  • Proactively support the field by developing efficient processes for upcoming initiatives

  • Lead root cause discovery sessions for in-store issues

  • Support workforce management by maintaining standards and SOP's as processes change

  • Analyze and interpret facts to aid in key business decisions to improve the customer experience and increase profitability


  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering

  • Experience in Six Sigma a must

  • Experience in time and motion studies

  • Must be a proactive, self-starter

  • Must be extremely detail oriented

  • Previous experience in a retail environment

  • Travel is required

  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, SQL, store inventory systems, POS, MPOS, and MS Access

  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, & planning skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
