The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Create production and procurement schedules for area of responsibility
Lead cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive change in service, cost, and inventory
Develops and maintains operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand
Provides a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making
Publishes and presents service and inventory metrics and results
Identifies and leads projects that improve supply chain speed and inventory investment. Review and reports on project progress with management
Works closely with the business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Works closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining sufficient inventory levels and lead times. Manages the Sales and Operation Planning process
Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets
Utilize Supply Chain tools and processes such as eMES, Peoplesoft, and Factory Planner
Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Three (3) combined years experience in Sourcing, Operations, Logistics, Procurement and Production Planning, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment (includes internship and/or co-op experience)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business Analytics from an accredited university
More than five (5) combined years experience in Sourcing, Operations, Logistics, Procurement and Production Planning, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment
Demonstrated coaching, interpersonal communication, and team leadership ability
History of successfully applying business knowledge to support business needs and goals
Initiates, leads, and implements the process of supply chain problem identification and resolution
Advanced Microsoft Suite skills
Location: Hutchinson, MN
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
