Assists in the local and general anesthesia procedures. Assists with orthognathic workups. Take xrays; make molds; answer phones; assist with scheduling. Prepares and maintains instruments, equipment and materials for all dental procedures. Assist oral surgeon in providing oral surgery dental treatment, care and education to patients. Must possess knowledge and skill of clinical procedures, processes and dental administrative functions.
Work Experience: Past dental or oral surgery assisting experience preferred.
Graduation from an approved dental assisting program with current registration.
Certification as a Dental Assistant.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 1 month of hire Pediatric Advanced Life support (PALS) certification within 1 year of employment. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
