Job Description:

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)

Education and/or years’ experience required:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Minimum three years diesel technician experience or certification/education.

  • Valid CDL driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Strong work ethics.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Requires some previous supervisory experience 

Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable):

  • Supervisory responsibilities are required with this position.


  • Assist in managing diesel technicians and the schedule of repairs to maximize work efficiency and quality of work performed.

  • Check and review work in process and follow-up for completion as scheduled and exceeds the customer’s expectations.

  • Assist and diesel technicians in any maintenance and repairs as needed.

  • Inspect and, if necessary, road test vehicles upon completion of work to insure quality of repairs performed.

  • Offer a logical diagnostic service or repair to satisfy the customers concerns.

  • Provide accurate estimate for labor and parts.

  • Ensure mechanical repairs on customers' trucks performed as required to meet customers' needs.

  • If additional work is needed, explain the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time considerations.

  • Keep shop area neat and clean; promote safe work habits and ensure that safety rules are followed.

  • Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.

  • Schedule appointments using dealership's approved forms or systems.

  • Maintain policies and practices to ensure positive employee, customer and interdepartmental relations.

  • Maintain appropriate communication within and between all departments.

  • Must be capable of working under pressure, work independently, and have the ability to handle stressful situations that may arise.

  • Gives suggestions and recommendations throughout the process of hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other employees.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending meetings; educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.

  • Performs Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.

  • Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
