The Banking & Lending Account Executive (AE) is an expert who understands the industry and the challenges facing our largest Banking & Lending customers. He or she provides thought leadership in driving solutions that solve those problems and position all parties for success.  The Account Executive is customer-centric and adept at understanding and influencing decision making across complex financial institutions. He or she must engage at all levels within our customer organizations and is responsible for the creation and execution of sales strategies that drive profitable growth within the assigned customer accounts.

Your Focus

The AE is required to drive incremental year-over-year growth while protecting existing business. The AE proactively engages with customers on a consultative basis to learn its business, anticipate its needs and propose/deliver innovative Equifax solutions. As a necessary part of the role, the AE is particularly proficient in the definition and demonstration of tangible ROI.

The Account Executive is expected to demonstrate a high level of engagement with customers and internal account teams as well as a strong sense of urgency. We are looking for inquisitive self-starters with a strong understanding of financial services. 

Additional Responsibilities: 


  • Establish, maintain and manage key customer relationships


  • Assess the customer’s needs and leverage appropriate Equifax expertise/solutions for profitable sales


  • Lead Equifax sales efforts for targeted customers


  • Work seamlessly across Equifax with his/her cross-functional team in order to smoothly engage and coordinate all functional areas as required


  • Manage negotiations, sales pipeline, pricing and customer contracts


  • Represent Equifax at key customer meetings or customer sponsored events


  • Work with the product organization to provide Voice of Customer in order to influence innovations solutions 


What You Will Bring 


  • 7+ years of experience in a customer facing, strategic sales role with experience in Financial Services industry 


  • Ability to drive urgency in the sales cycle and the execution of solution strategies with exceptional ability to create and manage a robust pipeline


  • Proven experience in driving significant revenue growth with highly complex customers 


  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team orientation environment


  • Strong understanding of complex accounts and ability to partner and influence the agendas of multiple customer stakeholders 


  • Experience demonstrating innovation, with an understanding of credit, risk and marketing solutions (working knowledge of Equifax products in each business unit a plus)


  • Knowledge of existing and emerging regulatory/compliance requirements, including the ability to leverage that knowledge to proactively drive sales


  • Superior skills and ability to present and communicate effectively with c-level executives 


  • Proven sales/solution selling experience, including the ability to diagnose the impact of trends, customer data and MBOs and translate that into rapid sales


  • Experience working with senior-level account employees, including an ability to immediately establish credibility with executives and build/maintain those relationships


  • Demonstrate high level of business acumen and apply a thorough understanding of the customer’s culture, business, organization, strategy and financial position 


  • Ability to understand business problems and provide guidance on strategies which will produce winning solutions in the FI industry
