As the Senior Analyst, Financial Analysis, you will support the continued financial health of the organization by providing critical analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline processes. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Perform operating expense analysis each month and provide reports to site leadership to evaluate appropriateness of monthly expense; adjust as necessary

  • Address questions from the leadership team and site-level management and resolve any uncertainties regarding expense

  • Assist with internal and external audit requests and perform any SOX-related controls

  • Ensure all operating expense is recorded in a timely manner through coordination with shared services (Accounts Payable, etc.)

  • Apply an analytical approach to support strategic decisions, new product/system introductions and other data-driven analysis

  • Work independently across functions, including local/corporate HR, the corporate Contingent Labor team, Operations, etc., to manage complex projects and serve as the subject matter expert

  • Focus on automation and the creation of self-help reporting for nonfinance users, including expense analysis, budgeting and forecasting for temporary labor expenses/hours

  • Understand and transition transaction tasks and analysis to the team in Mumbai, to build a 24-hour finance team to meet the growing needs of our global business; serve as the main point of contact for questions

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • 4 years of experience in audit, accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including financial analysis in a large corporate environment 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills

It’d be great if you also have:


  • Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA or applicable professional designation

  • 5 years of experience in audit, accounting or FP&A, including financial analysis in a large corporate environment 

  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma management concepts and/or certifications

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

  • Experience with large databases, including the ability to utilize data from various BI systems

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines

  • Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
