Job Description:

Alliant Energy is currently recruiting for exciting internship opportunities forElectrical, Mechanical and ChemicalEngineeringstudents forsummer 2020!
  • Pay:Competitive wage-earning between$17.00-$21.50/hour,dependent on the years of schooling completed
  • Hours:7 AM - 3:30 PM (Flexible)
  • Location: Ottumwa, IA
    • Relocation bonus provided for candidates 50 miles or more from intern location
  • Start Date:May 11th, May 18th,May 26th, 2020 (Flexible)
  • End Date: August 2020 (Flexible)

Job Qualifications
  • We are looking for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, related majors are encouraged to apply
  • Capable of working in a power plant setting (loud environment, industrial space)
  • Able to relocate to Ottumwa, IA or surrounding areas - Relocation bonus provided
  • Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply
  • Intermediate with AutoCAD and Excel
  • Previous professional or internship experience related to this position
  • Completed, or currently enrolled in Statistics, Dynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Control Systems, Power Circuits, Power Plant Systems or related classes
  • Leadership, club, and/or organizational involvement
  • An active interest, fresh ideas and a desire to learn about the utility industry
  • Ability to accept feedback
  • Capable of working independently
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment
