The QAD Systems Lead will provide leadership, direction and guidance on end to end supply chain optimizations system supports. Responsible for support enhancements and overall execution and delivery of QAD leveraging a team of business process owners and leveraging resources to optimize the system it supports.
Analyze customer requirements and assist with writing detailed specifications and test plans to enhance existing QAD application. Work with Programmers to meet customer program update requirements and specifications.
Provide QAD application level support, delivering solutions for incident resolution and identifying business process improvement opportunities.
Manage application service and change requests (problem resolution, new features, new structures, configuration settings).
Develop technical specs from functional requirements. Manage expectations with key stakeholders (Director IT Business Partner, customers, program managers, QAD support etc.) to delivery and status of the deliverables.
Create/recommend system solutions and modifications that increase productivity and optimize the use of QAD.
Review, analyze, design, and assist in modifying business application systems including testing, debugging, and deployment.
Understand business and technical requirements; develop, document, and implement solution designs.
Ensure the solutions leverage the standard configuration settings and that the technical designs are documented and deliverables meet or exceed functional, technical, and performance requirements.
Deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
Follow and help enhance established design, development, source code management, and deployment processes.
Job Requirements Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training.
5+ years in a QAD user based role or QAD support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Working Knowledge of QAD applications and programs, module development, support, configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting to a component level in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting and finance principles
Knowledge of manufacturing supply chain processes
Knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to support and manage all aspects of a project: design, development, testing, implementation, and support transition.
Skilled in maintaining and troubleshooting live software systems.
