The Director, Merchandise Finance will be the lead finance partner for the Chief Merchandising Officer and the merchandising leaders. Owns the end-to-end key financial rhythms (monthly close, forecasts, plans) for sales, margin and inventory. Leads this work for both the U.S. and International operations, working worldwide. Viewed as a strategic advisor to leadership. Provides root cause and business driver analysis to support business decisions to drive growth, improve margins and manage inventory. Stays up-to-date on ever changing gaming trends to help leadership effectively deduce, model and communicate financial impacts of these changes. This role is characterized by high levels of enterprise-level scope, strategic and functional complexity and independent decision making.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Build working relationships through developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals including Chief Merchandising Officer and Merchandising team
Lead the organization's domestic and international sales and margin forecast, leveraging updated information on promotions, title launches, and other details provided by the merchandising, operations and marketing departments
Coordinate sales planning calendar & deliverables for long-range plan, annual operating plan, and monthly sales forecast
Identify areas of sales, margin and inventory opportunities and perform ad-hoc analyses to highlight potential impact
Streamline & standardize team's financial modeling toolkit, including enhancements to monthly sales planning model, gross margin & general ledger
Develop omnichannel analyses to understand intersection of product cost improvements, sales mix, and discount rate impact on performance
Provide guidance on pricing and inventory decisions through rigorous data analysis and forecasting
Analyze and report out on monthly metrics, KPIs, and provide insights to leadership
Refine and coordinate periodic updates to executive management on the condition of the Company in relation to financial forecasts to help drive decision making and Company direction

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
Minimum of ten years of multi-financial analysis and planning experience required; experience in multi-location retail environment preferred
Bachelor's degree in an accredited business administration, economics, finance or accounting program preferred
