Looking for a QA analyst, senior analyst, or analyst lead to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. Position will be responsible for leading the creation, implementation and assurance of quality standards to ensure software products and processes utilized within the Federal Reserve meet quality expectations. Position includes accountability for defining the testing strategy and identifying, building and executing test cases to measure quality and performance expectations on software development projects.
Execute test cases to determine if the system meets the defined requirements
Setup the system in order to prepare for testing particular scenarios.
Functions as a liaison between product, business and technology teams to document, analyze and validate quality on software projects
Identify and prioritize issues with testing and system behavior. Participate in root cause analysis on problems encountered during testing and recommends possible solutions. Collaborate with developers and technical support staff as needed to isolate root cause of defects and provides recommendations.
Ability to analyze test cases in order to determine an efficient and appropriate use of automated tools.
Utilize testing tools, and integrate tools into testing efforts.
Maintain test plans, environment, data and tools for system enhancements and corrections.
Actively shares information and participates in the training of peers.
Creates database queries to extract information in support of test case validation
Collaborate with the development team to provide insight on the types of testing that would be needed to exercise the requirement.
Participate in the creation of periodic reports on test status and risks and a final report covering all testing activities, including recommendations for application implementation and post-deployment operations.
Participate in team meetings and offer new ideas to improve the team.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
