Job Description:

PPG is currently hiring for a Technical Service Representative to support PPG products being used in an Automotive OEM location at the KMMG Kia Georgia West Point plant. You will be responsible for the effective and efficient performance of PPG products for our customer. You will monitor systems and processes, check/control inventories, initiate problem solving resolutions, and effectively communicate with all levels, in both the PPG and customer, organizations.

Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:


  • Daily activities will include taking inventory, checking builds and color with PPG provided equipment.

  • Interfacing with the customer at various levels to ensure work is meeting customer requirements and expectations.

  • Some computer work is required to complete reports and enter data.

Educational or Required Work Experience:


  • High School Diploma or GED, with some college chemistry, general science, or a related discipline desired.

  • 3-5 years in a technical setting or automotive assembly plant environment, with Waterborne basecoat, Solventborne clearcoat, Powder, and Electrocoat technology experience preferred.


Functional / Technical Skills:

  • Previous experience with color and topcoat application is a plus.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail are required.

  • Ability to work weekend overtime is required. This position will include working on the off shift to support this site, as needed.
