Our Quality Assurance (QA) Test Lead uses cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems and get to see the impact of their work first-hand.

The QA Test Lead will participate in, and lead QA team members on, creating and executing test plans and test cases, enforce the use of best practices and standards, and leverage automation to drive reduction in manual test cases. The ideal candidate must be able to take full ownership of tasks, and coordinate QA team members and test case completion across multiple projects. This individual must possess a demonstrated ability to lead remote team members, perform within defined timelines, and drive deliverables to completion.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Develop project test plans and coordinate with business teams to create user acceptance testing test plans
Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by volunteering to cover ad hoc testing requirements and backfilling for peers as necessary
Prioritize test scenarios, coordinate resources, and execute according to plan
Develop and document step-by-step test cases based on the software requirements outlined by system and business analysts
Partner with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to ensure complete and comprehensive test plans meet business needs for Go Live readiness
Identify test script candidates for automation of manual, repeatable, time intensive tasks
Provide reporting on test execution and defect tracking; escalate issues as needed
Develop and maintain testing standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent testing procedures
Partner with distributed teams, outside vendors, or offshore testing partners as required
Manage defect process for IT and Business teams, ensuring clear communication regarding progress and closure
Represent the Product Owner’s requirements, understand how they use the system, and map test case designs to end user scenarios in test plans and automation
Assist QA team with ongoing project and manual testing cycles
Assist with Green Zone (Release Window) smoke testing, leveraging automation and manual test executions; release windows are typically outside of normal work hours
Onboard and train new team members as necessary
In-depth understanding of, and experience with, testing applications in accordance with required functionality and non-functional quality attributes (e.g. Functionality, Usability, Availability, Performance)
Experience writing test strategies, plans, and test cases
5 - 7 years of experience with testing execution and defect management, and 1-2 years with test automation
Strong defect, issue logging, documentation, and tracking using Visual Studio or similar defect management tool set
Ability to conduct manual and automated testing
Understanding of basic Waterfall and Agile project management concepts
Proven creativity and initiatives resulting in test coverage and effectiveness
Strong oral and written communication skills across IT teams, management, and business partner levels in formal and informal settings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to decompose complex problems and perform root cause analysis
Functional knowledge of code merging, branching, and source control
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and an automated testing tool
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
