Job Description:

Overview

This position is responsible for compensation and equity plan administration for Snap-on Inc. Works closely with Compensation & HRIS Manager on compliance issues, salary structure development, incentive payments, and merit processing. Administers company stock plans, including option and SAR exercises.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates the organization's jobs and requirements in job descriptions. Reviews and recommends salary grade assignments.
  • Administer equity processing, including processing grants, transactions, vesting, and exercises of option and SAR exercises. Work closely with broker on exercises.
  • Supports Compensation Manager in processing of long-term incentive plans and payments.
  • Audits compensation and equity programs to ensure accuracy.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and auditing skills through routinely reviewing statements, board materials, and awards processing.
  • Contributes organizational data to, and analyzes results of, compensation surveys.
  • Conducts market analysis of company jobs to determine competitive positioning of the organization's pay programs.
  • Participates in annual salary administration programs, including salary structure creation and maintenance and development of incentive or salary increase budgets.
  • Contributes to the administration of annual performance management, incentive, or salary increase programs. Works closely with Compensation Manager on annual management incentive payment and merit processing.
  • Analyses equity transaction data and ensures compliance with applicable securities - related regulations.
  • Reconciles stock plans and participant activity on a periodic basis with treasury, finance, and payroll.
  • Monitors compensation and equity compliance issues and keeps abreast of domestic and international tax laws. Work with consultants on annual review of international equity administration.
  • Responds to associate questions on compensation and equity plans. Referring complex issues to Manager.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional Human Resources, Finance, and/or related business experience.
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Familiarity with compensation and equity plan administration preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office, HR database applications, data reporting/query building (ADP-Enterprise, Tableau, EOWIN, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
