Snap-on is seeking an Mechanical Project Engineer to join its Power Tools Division in the Kenosha, Wisconsin Headquarters. As part of the Cordless Power Tools team, this position will play a key role in the design and development of cordless power tool products that meet the premium expectations of Snap-on customers.
Provide mechanical engineering expertise in power tool designs
Guide procurement for component and supplier selection
Solve problems and be a self-starter
Manage projects in a mutually respectful environment
Understand mechanical schematics and build prototypes to validate design
Develop and oversee test procedures and validate test results
Five (5) years' product development experience
Demonstrated skill in the design of mechanical systems
Skilled in developing, testing and troubleshooting mechanical devices
Problem solver for technical issues
Knowledge of relevant engineering innovations
Working knowledge of:
Materials, i.e. steel, aluminum, plastic, etc.
Dynamic and static analysis of moving components
Mechanical theory and practical problem solving
Solid model mechanical drawings
Performing computer simulations
