Job Description Details:
Performs daily cleaning procedures in patient rooms and other ancillary areas in the hospital including nursing stations, restrooms, offices, etc.
Uses various pieces of cleaning tools and electrical equipment such as carpet vacuum, mop buckets, and wringers. Uses various cleaning chemicals and solutions in an effort to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
Collects and transports trash and soiled linen to the appropriate storage area.
Maintains furniture in patient rooms, offices, and other ancillary areas in an orderly fashion.
Completes cleaning requests for check-outs and transfers on a daily basis.
Observes and reports any equipment, furniture, fixtures, and areas in the hospital that may need repair and/or replacement.
Maintains work areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
Completes daily cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and uses prescribed floor care methods.
Cleans and refinishes hard surface floors, shampoos and extracts carpet floor surfaces utilizing a variety of electrical and other tools, chemicals and finishes.
* Must demonstrate the ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write the English language.
Occasional pushing or pulling. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Minimum
