Job Description
This position is responsible for driving US business performance via digital marketing insights & analytics and media strategy. This role will collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to measure and analyze digital data, to assess digital marketing effectiveness, support digital optimization efforts for owned channels, inform and guide paid media strategy, and make data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders. This role will also complete additional ad hoc analyses as needed by the business.
This role supports both patient and healthcare professional digital promotional effectiveness, across all Biogen brands in the US.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with multichannel excellence team members, marketing product managers, and agency partners to translate key business questions and marketing objectives into actionable analyses that synthesize multiple data sources to deliver insights that support data-driven decision making
Supporting Multichannel Insights & Analytics team efforts to determine the impact of digital efforts (e.g. website, email, social, search), establish benchmarks and data-driven best practices, identify opportunities for optimization, and assess/prioritize digital tactics against marketing objectives
Leveraging digital data in collaboration with agency partners to deliver rapid, actionable and comprehensive insights that inform and direct digital strategy and marketing decisions. This role requires both directing external vendors to perform analyses and personally initiating and conducting analyses as part of an analytics team
Coordinating and delivering monthly and quarterly digital marketing insights deliverables, performance updates, and ad hoc analyses as required by US Marketing and US MCE teammates
Supporting the development and socialization of appropriate KPIs and targets to measure and optimize campaigns/marketing effectiveness
Experience Required:
At least five years of experience working in a digital marketing analytics or data-driven digital media function
* Experience supporting strategy and analytics for major digital marketing channels (e.g. search, display, social, website, email) required. Must be able to process, organize, and interpret digital data from a variety of sources to inform and guide marketing strategy
Experience with web analytics required, Adobe Analytics strongly preferred
Consulting, analytics, or digital agency background preferred
Biotech/pharma experience preferred, but not required
* Knowledge of and experience with offline marketing and CRM (e.g. direct mail, print, email) preferred
Driven, highly self-motivated, confident, high-energy, and bright individual with high intellectual curiosity
Strong analytical and quantitative skill set
Strong computer aptitude and an ability to learn systems quickly
Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with ability to derive insight and recommendations from data
In addition to a strong record of analytic and quantitative work, successful candidates will also have broadly applicable consulting skills such as: strong oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences; ability to synthesize information into a logically structured PowerPoint deliverable; close attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset; aptitude for, and enjoyment of, working in teams
