Job Information

Team Lead in development, improvement and sustainment of process and metrics of the NPD team. Oversee aftermarket representation on NPD program teams interfacing with Marketing, Service, Engineering and Manufacturing to identify, understand, consolidate and communicate the NPD program procurement requirements to ensure SOP part availability. Manage the procurement of materials and communicate requirements to all Material Analysts.

Leadership ability that involves succession, development planning, and priority setting.

Role & Responsibility

Launch NPD Parts Programs

  • Ensure early and ongoing Aftermarket procurement involvement in the NPD process.
  • Work with engineering, service, and technical coordinators to ensure all required serviceable components are set up.
  • Analyze and forecast qty’s needed for launch as well as monitor to ensure quick reaction to demand flucuations.
  • Document Aftermarket procurement activity in the appropriate NPD project management tool(PMCS).
  • Attend NPD program team meetings and report NPD metrics and other key information during Gate reviews.

NPD Liaison

  • Serve as the primary liaison for all NPD projects for strategic communications and special problem resolution, in a highly responsive and pro-active manner.
  • Work with the Material Analysts and Sourcing to ensure availability of parts.
  • Build strong relationships with internal customers, and cross-functional departments.

NPD Management

  • Lead NPD projects to improve costs, productivity, and ease of ordering.
  • Keep AMP management aware of upcoming NPD projects and issues that may arise.
  • Knowledgeable of assigned commodities and awareness of Company products.
  • Work with all functional areas on successful product line implementation and launch, and identified opportunities.

Staff Management

  • Manage the development of their team.

Job Requirement
  • Education Required: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Experience Required: 5>7 years
  • Travel Required: <10%
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, solid analytical/problem solving skills, and the ability to multi-task and follow through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Incumbent must have a high level of motivation and self-direction.
  • Minimum of 2 years of expediting and/or procurement experience preferred.
  • A mechanical and/or inventory control background is helpful.
  • High degree of fluency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Must be able to read and receive instructions in English.
