Program Coordinator for the Graduate Technology Programs in Business Intelligence & Analytics and Information Systems

Job Description Summary: The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a position of Program Coordinator for the Graduate Technology Programs in Business Intelligence & Analytics and Information Systems.  The position is available immediately with a targeted start date of September 1, 2019 and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties: The Program Coordinator will support the Program Directors of the Master of Science programs in Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A) and Information Systems (MSIS) by managing the program office, coordinating outreach activities, organizing events and following up on inquires and providing information management support.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administering the Technology Program Office, such as training and supervising support staff (Graduate Assistants), monitoring program financials and budgets, handling typical office procurements, generating course schedules and tracking course changes, maintaining program information in Salesforce.

  • Fielding inquiries from prospective and current graduate students in the BI&A and MSIS programs, and directing them to appropriate offices, as required.

  • Coordinate and execute an annual calendar of events ranging from boot camps to executive educational conferences, roundtables, workshops, alumni events, club activities and Board of Advisors meetings.

  • Facilitate graduate open house events, promoting recruitment, new programs and initiatives, both virtual through webinars and in person.

  • Drive yield management of prospective graduate students through the participation in Webinars and direct phone calls to prospective students.

  • Collaborate with SoB’s Office of Career and Professional Advancement to support students with career counseling, coaching on CV preparation, networking, professional skill development, etc.

  • Collaborate with the Program Directors and Undergraduate Academics on initiatives that increase graduate enrollments such as the Undergraduate Accelerated Masters Program (AMP).

  • Collaborate with the Center for Student Success on advising-related issues, such as study plans, transfer credits, program changes, and the monitoring of student academic performance.

Job Qualifications:

  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of three years of experience.

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, reporting skills, organization, time management, and experience in organizing travel logistics.

  • Ability to self-organize an office and delegate tasks as appropriate to support staff.

  • Ability to prioritize among multiple stakeholders and concurrent requests.

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

  • Experience in an academic environment is a plus.

  • Experience in using is a plus.

  • Experience in using Tableau is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment.

  • The position requires flexibility in working hours according to workload.

  • Some need to travel to participate in activities related to workshops, seminars and promotional events.  Moderate need to work hours outside of typical business hours, including early morning, evenings and weekends in conjunction with events and promotional efforts.

  • Occasionally need to move between academic buildings on campus.
