Interested in working with the latest technologies in a training environment? Be an integral part of the Technical Training Virtual Reality team! Using your skill-sets of CAD model design and mechanical engineering, help us develop and implement innovative, leading-edge training experiences for our Lam Research work force. You will design, program and implement learning scenarios in a mixed reality environment that will focus primarily on user interactions, both self-paced and collaborative, in a virtual semiconductor training lab environment.

Job Responsibilities


  • Work with the VR Design Specialist and subject-matter experts from the Technical Training organization to develop accurate and scalable mixed reality scenarios
  • Work with the computer-aided engineering group to develop scalable, VR-ready models based on our internal CAD equipment models
  • Develop a successful and obtainable workflow from the CAD environment to the final VR-based project
  • Review and make quarterly updates of existing VR modules to ensure accuracy
  • Establish and maintain a library of VR-ready models and re-usable VR-specific code and scenes
  • Establish recommended mixed reality toolsets and best-known methods for future-proofing our development efforts
  • Troubleshoot VR hardware/software end-user issues both remotely and in the classroom
  • Provide guidance and training to other internal and off-shore VR developers

  • Travel as required (less than 25%)

Minimum Qualification


  • Experience creating and manipulating large CAD models in Siemens NX and/or Creo software environments
  • Strong knowledge of systems level C++/C# /JavaScript programming
  • Experience developing instructional-based games in Unity or Unreal software platforms
  • Expert knowledge of VR hardware and software configurations and standards. Knowledge of Steam and Windows Mixed Reality HMDs a plus
  • Knowledge of Lua scripting a plus.
  • Strong visual and interaction skills

Preferred Qualification
Education:


  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Game Design
  • At least three years' experience in the semiconductor industry preferred
  • Unity or Unreal certification a plus
