Job Description:

POSITION INFORMATION:  Assumes responsibility for the supervision,
maintenance, and control of the following areas:   steam and chilled water piping systems,
natural gas systems, compressed air, sanitary and waste systems, and equipment
control relative to the Plumbing Shop at the Health Sciences
Center campus.


  1. Paper Work.   Assumes responsibility for
    monitoring time and material records for accuracy, i.e. writing material
    requisitions, job estimates, developing assignment schedules, etc.

  2. Inspections.  Inspects periodically all facilities and
    makes written recommendations for specific repairs or preventative
    maintenance activities relative to the following processes:  steam and chilled water piping systems,
    natural gas systems, compressed air, sanitary and waste systems, etc.

  3. Training.  Monitors and evaluates changing
    technology, procedures, equipment, and materials by reading appropriate
    trade journals, safety codes, and operating manuals.

  4. Supervision.  Supervises and evaluates assignment schedules,
    performance, and training requirements of subordinates assigned to his/her

  5. Maintenance Supervision.  Assumes responsibility for the
    inspection and direction of work processes involving maintenance, project supervision
    and repair assigned to his/her shop.

  6. Scheduling.  Schedules assigned work efficiently
    relative to priority and importance.

  7. Safety. Ensures shop personnel
    adhere to proper health and safety practices.

  8. Other Duties.  Performs various duties as needed to
    successfully fulfill the functions of any site support position to include
    assisting any skilled trade.

Education:  High school, GED, or trade school


Experience:  60 months plumbing experience that includes
at least 24 months of supervisory experience.


Certifications/ Licenses: 

  • State of Oklahoma Plumbing Contractors License.

  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License.
