We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordination of the human resource function for the Georgetown, SC Operations.
What You'll Do
Understand the core business objectives and key HR priorities and support their success.
Provide expertise and support for the mill in all aspects of HR including hourly recruitment, on boarding, performance management, discipline, employee relations, benefits, compensation administration and compliance.
Be accessible to all employees by routinely spending time in the mill and following up on concerns and issues as they arise.
Work with leadership team to identify, address and resolve HR issues that arise in a manner that is consistent with Interfor's core values.
Administer Interfor policies and programs to ensure compliance that is consistent with our core values.
Assist all employees with HR, benefit and payroll related inquiries or requests and act as liaison with various internal and external resources as needed.
Coordinate and maintain all required HR and payroll records and documents for hourly employees including personnel files, benefit enrollment forms and payroll records.
Administer requests for time off under the Family and Medical Leave Act and ensure compliance.
Provide case management support for worker's comp claims.
Provide reporting and analytics on HR areas such as attendance, recruitment, turnover, discipline.
Participates in Corporate User Groups and audits site HR processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
What You Offer
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
2 to 5 years of experience in human resources.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with HRIS, payroll and time and attendance systems.
Strong preference for experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Basic understanding of principles of HR management and government compliance requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
Effective communicator and listener.

Strong organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to travel to other mill locations in the state of Georgia.
