As part of Equinix’s Finance organization, Business Assurance Services (BAS) provides assurance and advisory services designed to add value by improving company operations and financial reporting. BAS brings a disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, business analytics, information security, control and governance processes. The Business Assurance program is designed for BAS members to gain experience through various audit and advisory projects, which provide team members with in-depth knowledge in Information Technology (IT), Corporate Finance, and Operational areas of the Company. Business Assurance Services is seeking an Intern to support the team’s corporate finance, information technology and business operations initiatives. The position will report to a Business Assurance Services Manager and will be responsible for supporting cross-functional projects and audits that assess and mitigate risks across aspects of the company globally.

Responsibilities/Tasks


  • Assist with the execution of operational, financial, and IT audits

  • Communicate effectively with “client” and department management.

  • Prepare executive reports for executive level team.

  • Recommend improvements that enhance BAS capabilities or business processes.

  • Facilitate identification and distribution of best practices.

  • Promote a collaborative, positive work environment.

Qualifications


  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS, CIS, IT or related areas.

  • Quick learner, effective in new situations and comfortable in a multi-tasking environment.

  • Analytical thinker, able to understand complex and solve issues that require targeted solutions and creativity. Solutions oriented.

  • Energetic and passionate about driving business value.
