Georgia-Pacific’s Consumer Products business is looking for a talented individual to join our Data Management team. The Master Data Coordinator position ensures MRO item data is available and accurate by working closely with the Suppliers, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering & Operations professionals across multiple manufacturing facilities. This individual will use problem-solving skills to work through issues and will make complex decisions concerning master data based on a thorough understanding of the master data processes. 


This role is a new role that is being set up within Georgia Pacific. This position can be home-based, located at the Georgia-Pacific LLC headquarters building in downtown Atlanta or located at Green Bay, WI location.   


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:



  • Partner with Suppliers, Strategic Sourcing, Engineering & Operations to review new item requests submitted by CPG Manufacturing for base data and enriched data

  • Work closely with Engineering, Project Sourcing & Procurement & Process Equipment OEMs to understand upcoming capital projects and prioritize associated new items

  • Collaborate with MDM to ensure that master data being set up in the system aligns with the principles that have been developed and will  ensure that facilities have the master data they need to be successful

  • Proactively review/improve base item and enriched data

  • Ensure duplicate parts data is not entered into the system

  • Coach users on gaps/opportunities of requests and manage discrepancies to completion when data quality opportunities are found

  • Develop metrics to identify key opportunity areas, instill accountability and track progress overtime (internal & external)

  • Ownership of Base Item Data (Manufacture, Part Number, Description ) for all CPG MRO Materials

  • Enrichment of base item data & corresponding Supply Chain Data in MDG Source of supply

  • Supplier catalog information

  • Escalate visibility of strategic manufacturer alternatives (price & lead time advantage

  • Make repairable part decisions and continue developing principles to govern centralized decision making

  • Provide feedback to Strategic Sourcing on gaps in category coverage & opportunities to expand/create strategies

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve item set up/improvement process

  • Develop automation to make the approval process less/non-resource dependent


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:


  • Two (2) or more years of experience in managing equipment master data

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience working in a maintenance management system         



What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Sourcing, Procurement or Storeroom experience

  • Planning or maintenance experience

  • SAP experience to include the buildout of functional locations, equipment, and BOMs

  • Experience applying principles to manage data

  • Data analysis experience

  • Experience working with P&IDs, GA's, single lines, exploded views, and other engineering drawings
