Job Description:


LRP seeks a digital-first Staff Writer for and Human Resource Executive . The staff writer will produce daily content for all platforms on topics relevant to HR executives, including HR technology, talent management, employee experience, leadership, learning and development, and more. The writer will take a digital-first approach to all duties, providing readers with a high volume of news analysis and strategic insights. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, the writer will deliver consistently compelling, innovative and relevant content to increase readership among target audiences. The editor will work as part of a growing digital-first team to boost traffic and to build on Human Resource Executive 's role as the premier brand delivering strategic content and solutions for HR executives.


  • Create content daily for and Human Resource Executive magazine, including in-depth pieces, videos, short stories, profiles, data visualization and more
  • Tell stories through writing and technology, such as social media, podcasts, emails, polls, video and more
  • Create content that is consistently innovative and relevant, serving our target audiences to increase traffic
  • Contribute ideas and content to podcast, webinars, other platforms
  • Develop sources and build relationships throughout the industry
  • Manage editorial projects as needed
  • Develop a prominent role on social media as a leading expert in the field, promoting content and engaging with the audience
  • Travel to and coverage of industry conferences throughout the year
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum one year experience as a writer or editor
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, digital-first media environment
  • Strong writing, editing and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with AP style, WordPress, digital tools
