Performs environmental monitoring of process areas.
Performs high purity water, clean steam, and compressed gas systems sampling.
Performs personnel monitoring and qualification.
Performs routine bioburden and endotoxin testing on utility samples.
Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.
Maintains laboratory equipment, supplies, media, and reagents inventory.
Participates in training of other employees.
Uses Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample and sample test result tracking.
May perform basic microbial identification.
May perform acceptance testing of commercially prepared microbiological culture media.

The Ideal Candidate would possess:
Endotoxin testing experience is preferred
Technical writing experience is preferred
Experience working in an aseptic environment
Working Knowledge of cGMP
Microbial identification procedure knowledge
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Experience with LIMS preferred
Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent. May substitute relevant experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, for education.
Minimum 1 year Micro lab experience required
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
