The Senior Director of Global IT Infrastructure and End User Services is responsible for setting the strategic vision for IT infrastructure and Cloud Services and for maintaining and supporting the smooth operation of all Amneal IT Infrastructure, Service Desk and End User Support functions. This includes data centers, networks, service desk, telecommunications, cyber security, web services, specialized departmental applications and related technologies and services. This position requires a mix of strategic IT planning and tactical execution skills. This position requires a proven track record in data center and network operations, IT Security, the design and implementation of scalable IT infrastructure and a solid understanding of how to leverage contemporary IT technologies. This position requires deep and broad technical skills combined with exceptional customer service and project management skills. This position reports to the Senior Vice President Information Technology.
Technical: 1. Provide broad IT infrastructure leadership and expertise to organization 2. Partner with Director of Information Security to implement IT controls to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets 3. Partner with Senior Director of Planning and Control to create a reference architecture framework 4. Partner with Senior Director of Planning and Control to define and implement ITIL service management processes 5. Partner with the VP of Applications to develop and implement infrastructure and cloud services in support of application requirements 6. Partner with Facilities and Security groups to identify technical requirements and coordinate delivery of communication, compute and storage services 7. Act as the lead technical expert for IT Infrastructure and cloud services 8. Develop network and other hardware infrastructure to meet the on-going needs of the company in accordance with the IT strategic plan. 9. Insure the proper operation of data center, network and disaster recovery system systems 10. Manage JD Edwards CNC functions – support underlying platforms and control promotion of code through Dev/PY/QA and Production environments. Oversee access control process within JD Edwards 11. Owner of core IT Infrastructure technology – Specify, Implement & Maintain a. Data Center, Servers, Storage, Backup, Network, Desktop, Telecom and Collaboration infrastructure and services b. Cloud offerings for Infrastructure, Platforms and Software as a service c. Manage infrastructure comprised of Dell, Cisco, EMC and VMware d. Set technology standards for laboratory and process automation Guide the selection of appropriate technologies used in laboratory and process automation to ensure optimal outcomes
Customer Service: 1. Measure and improve customer satisfaction, handle customer escalations 2. Perform problem management processes, including root cause analysis and identifying and implementing corrective and preventive actions 3. Ensures appropriate availability and reliability of IT Infrastructure components.
Departmental: (1) Manage and mentor IT staff supporting data center, network, client devices, service desk and telecom activities worldwide (2) Manage all key infrastructure and software suppliers and associated maintenance contracts (3) Manage all Telecom carriers – Contract compliance, SLA’s and cost containment (4) Establish and maintain all data center, network, and telecom controls, policies and procedures
Company: 1. Stay informed about IT technology trends, directions and uses in the life science industry 2. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations related to IT infrastructure 3. Ensure compliance with SOX controls by all technical staff.
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline at a minimum. - Required
15 years or more in 15+ years of IT experience with record of progressive career growth.
15 years or more in Deep technical experience and strong command of industry trends with particular emphasis on virtualization of servers, storage and networking.
15 years or more in Minimum of 15 years’ experience managing IT datacenter, compute, storage, network and telecom functions.
5 years or more in Experience with implementing controls and processes in a SOX and FDA regulated environment.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into solutions that map to technology capabilities. - Advanced
Experience negotiating Enterprise level agreements with Microsoft and other vendors. - Advanced
Proven track record of implementing significant IT infrastructure projects on schedule and budget including datacenter builds and relocations, cloud solutions, voice solutions, Active Directory and Exchange consolidations, platform and ERP Migrations. - Advanced
Experience with the laboratory systems in a pharmaceutical environment. - Advanced
Experience with the following technologies , products and services: (1) SAN technology – multiple vendors (2) Modern Security tools in support of technical controls (4) 3rd party server collocation services (5) ITIL Service Management and Support Processes (6) Root Cause Analysis (7) SD-WAN (8) JD Edwards
MCSE, MCITP, CCNA or CCNP certification.--Preferred
