The Supervisor, Critical Infrastructure is responsible for the day to day, 24 X 7 maintenance services of Charter Enterprise Data Centers. This includes plumbing, electrical, predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance, HVAC maintenance and operations. Provides hands-on skills in multiple trade disciplines as work load requires. Coordinate with Data Center Services (DCS) Supervisor to review install and decommission of IT equipment to meet project timeline and customer needs. Supervises a staff responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, testing, repair and adjustment of electrical and HVAC distribution systems.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

* Supervises a staff of Critical Infrastructure Engineers and Technologists who perform maintenance service tasks in a specific trade.

* Plan and create schedules for preventive maintenance and repair for Electrical Infrastructure, HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, plumbing systems and building fire suppression and detection systems in a data center environment.

* Ensures maximum efficient operations of facilities and equipment through the supervision of technical support staff made up of skilled and unskilled trades, and the purchase of necessary outside technical and non-technical support services.

* Ensures that all systems including utility infrastructure are fully operational and inspected in accordance with accepted standards and practices, including preventive maintenance schedules.

* Develops and implements preventive maintenance and repair programs and procedures.

* Supervises facility maintenance projects and ensures that all projects are completed within approved schedules and budgets.

* Plans maintenance activities and establishes priorities for maintenance, and monitors progress.

* Identifying current operation and maintenance needs and formalizes operating plans and shop budgets to increase data center efficiency.

* Assist in negotiating and selecting outside contractor services and products to meet and align with maintenance objectives.

* Ensure Data Center Operations complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

* Must have knowledge of mechanical and electrical codes and best practices associated with the operation, repair and maintenance of each system.

* Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.

* Ability to complete documentation accurately, shall be proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have thorough knowledge of specific trade such as electrical distribution, HVAC mechanical and life safety systems, motor controls, vibration analysis and equipment balancing.

* Must have thorough knowledge of all codes, principles and techniques associated with the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of HVAC mechanical systems and devices.

* Must be knowledgeable in advanced mechanical test equipment.

* Must be able to evaluate and recommend solutions to complex problems associated with mechanical systems and equipment.

* Must be able to interpret system blueprints and schematics.

* Must be able to oversee others in safe work procedures on systems and equipment.

* Must have a command of all skills necessary for verbal and written communication with all levels of associates and external contractors.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Science degree or certificate from technical school or successful completion of Department of Labor approved training program or equivalent. Undergraduate studies strongly preferred.
