What\'s The Role*

This position is responsible for management of the Hilti North America (HNA) carrier portfolio (USA and Canada) including 70 total carriers with a primary focus on the top 15 and a budget of 60M USD. This includes contract negotiations and analysis of carrier performance to ensure HNA Transportation Key Performance Indicators are achieved.

What Does The Role Involve*

Manage transportation supplier portfolio for Hilti North America (USA and Canada) by building, implementing, and monitoring transport vendor contracts and relationships
Negotiate transportation topics for parcels, pallet, and haulage business
Escalate issues within communication matrix and drive solutions with various stakeholders
Manage costs through monthly business reviews with top 5 to 10 carriers and perform analysis of freight payment data base to drive continuous improvement actions
Understand and enforce service levels with suppliers to match customer expectations and contribute to the quality of customer service defined by company strategy
Drive cross-functional and international projects to improve processes and costs, implement strategic projects, or implement Hilti group best practices

What You Need Is:

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience required; Master s Degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, purchasing, or other negotiation position
Experience with Carrier Management (MBRs, performance management, contract negotiations) required
Cost Management and Project Management experience required
Proven track record of negotiating contract, knowledge of US and/or Canada transportation market from shipper s perspective
Strong Analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to define objectives and necessary steps to achieve them
Capacity to adapt and implement new solutions when environment or business priorities change
Knowledge of transport legislation and market including knowledge of transport environment and operational experience of B2B national (USA and Canada) parcel delivery
Cost optimization experience and mindset
Team player who demonstrates efficient communication with team, suppliers, and stakeholders (within Logistics, Marketing, Sales, Finance), as well as internationally with other Hilti organizations
Know how to build a solid network internally and externally
Enjoys challenges and being challenged
Entrepreneur behavior and (external/final) customer orientation

Working Conditions:
Normal office conditions.
Up to 10% domestic travel, required.
