Job Description:

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform diagnostics and repairs regarding mechanical aspects of machines and equipment. Must be able to disassemble, repair and reassemble machines and equipment with minimal-to-no instructions. Routinely, performs complex mechanical assignments. This position is responsible for supporting production by redesigning, modifying, repairing and installing industrial machinery. The mechanic shall also repair, maintain, replace, install and test systems for machines and equipment. Inspects equipment and diagnoses trouble or malfunctions. Analyzes equipment failures, determines root cause and makes necessary adjustments. Applies advanced working knowledge and experience to independently improve maintenance techniques and operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Preventive maintenance for facilities, industrial equipment, and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical machine failures by disassembly and inspection of components.
  • Install, repair, overhaul and maintain electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical forge stamping press and/or CNC machinery equipment.
  • Utilize technical documentation (prints, manuals, specifications, etc.) to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Dismantle equipment and machinery in order to identify, remove repair, and/ or replace damage or deteriorated components and reassemble equipment.
  • Determine root cause of failure and correct condition to prevent re-occurrence while reducing mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • Repair failure by examining alternative methods of repair or application.
  • Manage time in all phases of repair projects from origination to completion.
  • Develop, document, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to maximize mean time between failures (MTBF).
  • Identify proper lubrication, techniques, and time intervals for equipment.
  • Perform alignment checks and mechanical clearances as necessary to ensure proper operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand power tools commonly used in the electrical, electronic, metal working and mechanical trades.
  • Knowledge of computer numerical control machine experience with Mazak mills / turning centers and Haas machine including all hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical.
  • Research, develop, and document critical spare parts for equipment.
  • Additional duties as requested by management.

Qualification Requirements

Educational/Training Requirement:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.


  • 5+ years of related experience in a comparable role.

Knowledge, Skills, ad Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of industrial machinery operation.
  • Advanced knowledge of bearings, gears, drives, power transmission, metal fabrication, tool room machining, and heat treatment of components.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and systems are required.
  • A strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Follow established company roles and regulations, safety precautions and maintain quality standards.
  • Proven mechanical and trouble shooting skills.
  • Knowledge of TPM principles and practices.
