Job Description:

Job Summary:
Provides administrative and operational support for the Bank's Government Guaranteed Lending team ensuring that all SBA loan files and documentation are prepared in accordance with the SBA loan authorization and internal bank credit approval documents. Manages all loan documentation from application through closing.Works with team members, internal bankers and external loan customers in collecting all documentation required for a loan.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Compiles loan documents in accordance with packaging checklist to ensure files are complete and accurate in preparation for the closing process.

Processes loan data and prepares SBA loan application packages for borrower's execution.

Prepares borrower's closing needs list and loan file checklist with trailing documents.

Processes borrower's commitment letter deposits.

Orders third party reports including CBI, BCR, tax transcripts, appraisals, environmental reports, floods, and business valuations.

Assists with assembling loan funding.

Conducts post-close audits on loan files.

Prepares loan files to be ship to loan operations/underwriting.

Ensures timely turnaround and identifies any missing items to all parties involved.

Pays all third party invoices and logs payments.

Provides support to the loan closing team in the day-to-day loan processing activities and general departmental functions.

May assist Closing team members throughout the closing process until the loan funds.

Develops an understanding of bank policies and procedures as well as SBA standards and standard operating procedures.

Maintains knowledge of current lending policies, procedures and regulations.

Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

Performs other related duties as required.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

One year of loan document processing experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Proficient using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access

Proficient with all department specific databases and systems

Knowledge of current Credit/Loan standard operating policies and procedures, regulatory policies, terminology, methodology and concepts

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to use work flow tool

Excellent attention to detail for review of loan documentation

Good verbal and written communication skills

Strong customer service skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Experience in commercial or SBA loan processing.
