Position Summary:

Necco has an opportunity for a career as Home Resource Assistant. This role will provide the most value to the company by supporting all activities required to certify and recertify foster parents. The Home Resource Assistant role will focus heavily on data management and organization.

Program Support


  • Work with Home Resource Assessor to recruit new foster parents

  • Support the Foster Parent Recruiter in delivering community recruiting activities

  • Accept additional tasks from self-directed team, as appropriate

  • Attend and participate in self-directed team meeting and activities

Certification and ReCertification


  • Assist the Home Resource Assessor with the organization of documentation required to meet Ohio licensing requirements

  • Work with Home Resource Assessor to complete all forms with accuracy and timeliness during the recertification process

  • Complete foster parent file audits, as necessary

  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of current state regulations relating to foster home certification and recertification

  • Prepare file for Home Resource Assessor to write home study

Data Entry


  • Assist the Home Resource Assessor in maintaining all aspects foster parent documentation

  • Assist the Home Resource Assessor in ensuring the accuracy and organization of foster parent training documentation

  • Own the data entry process for all documents entered into the Electronic Health Record

Position Qualifications


  • 21 years of age

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the human services field

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Valid driver’s license

  • 100/300/100 Auto Insurance Coverage

  • Training and Travel willingness

  • Successful completion of all required criminal background checks

  • Must possess the skills to navigate and execute software programs (i.e Microsoft Office, Database, Electronic Health Record, Dashboard)
