Job Description:

Alteryx, Inc. is looking for a Product Manager of Security that will own the execution of product security best practices across all product lines. Reporting to the Director, Product Security, the Product Manager of Security will work with key stakeholders to define the requirements and design processes for security and compliance controls. This individual will work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Application Security and Information Security to ensure that there is alignment from governance and customer needs to engineering for product development.

  • Work with product management to define product security features to meet goals of product development roadmaps;
  • Document reference architectures for security and compliance controls necessary to support product management objectives;
  • Support product management in defining compliance controls, enforcing global compliance regulations and assist in auditor reviews and obtaining/refreshing security certifications;
  • Collaborate with sales, partners and customers to outline the requirements raised by customers and convert these needs into features for product development;
  • Work with product security to define security best practices for customers using the Alteryx platform;
  • Use data and customer information to communicate product security best practices and influence change across the organization;
  • Assist in creating awareness and providing training of relevant security topics to product management teams;
  • Follow current security trends to ensure that Alteryx is following market best practices.

  • 3+ years of security field experience in the enterprise software industry;
  • Experience with compliance frameworks and regulations including, NIST, FIPS, FedRAMP, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, etc.;
  • Experience working with security focused customers, understanding and translating needs for product development;
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL);
  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud environments a plus;
  • Strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful; self-starter who acts with initiative and is pro-active
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Effective documentation skills with ability to articulate technical information;
  • Excellent teamwork skills, ability to manage, interpret and influence cross functional teams.
