Responsible for directing assigned shift of the general radiology segment of Radiology Services, as shown on the organizational chart, through performance or duties both unique to this position and responsibilities shared with the Diagnostic Manager Radiology Services. Performs related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Education: High school diploma. Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal form. Must have computer knowledge, typing skills and knowledge of basic math.

* Licensure: None.

* Experience: None.

* Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.

* Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Good communication skills, general knowledge of computers, and able to type 40 wpm is preferred. Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner. Ability to read, understand and follow written and oral instruction. Must display initiative and willingness to accept additional duties in the front office area during absences and adapt to fluctuating workload. Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Some heavy lifting may be required. Must be able to handle stressful situations when dealing with the general public. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 30 lbs., pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl not applicable. Equipment Used: Multi-line telephone (touch-tone), RIS, Windows-based PC, Meto Bar Code Machine, Fax, Copier, Laser Printer.
