This position is responsible for O2C, P2P and GA activities for the US Elanco Affiliate. Responsibilities include managing Gross to Net (G2N) approval process, ensuring activities are accurate reflected in General Ledger, overseeing the P2P process for the US Sales Affiliate and ensuring financial and SOx compliance throughout the affiliate. The person in the position will lead/supervise associates within each of these areas.
Lead a team of 8 members to deliver the Financial Controllership, Gross 2 Net Administration, Payroll accounting and financial governance objectives of the affiliate.
Serve as the financial controller of the US Affiliate. Key Responsibilities include:
Ensure all local O2C, P2P and GA processes are adhered to corporate policies, guidelines and timelines
Own and review the financial statements for the affiliate (trial balance, income statement and balance sheet). US affiliate consists of Commercial, R&D, Manufacturing and Corporate functions.
Partner with the Shared Services (GBS) to ensure that all Order to Cash (AR/credit/collections) and P2P (POs, Vendors, Payments) processes are handled appropriately efficiently and with the Elanco customer experience in mind
Oversee Product Pricing and Product Costing activities by driving deliverables through the team
Administer SOx controls throughout the affiliate. SOx controls span across O2C, inventory at Elanco and distribution warehouses
Lead the administration of Gross to Net Programs ($300m portfolio, 200+ programs across direct and indirect customers) that includes overseeing the approval process, SAP set-up, timely accrual and payment of rebates
Lead all aspects of internal and external audits of the affiliate. Anticipate, defend, and resolve audit matters as necessary.
Partner with Corporate Accounting to ensure timely delivery of inputs required for filing public statements. Proactively seek guidance to ensure the right treatment of non-standard items
Oversee the accounting for payroll costs of the US affiliate which includes employee payments, benefits entries and other accruals
Lead the transition of the US accounting team from its current state to its future state design at the ESC (Elanco Solutions Center) in Warsaw, Poland
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting (required)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance and/or Accounting
Demonstrated people management experience

IT and SAP proficiency
CPA or similar certification
Demonstrated comprehensive decision making: ability to dive deep, problem solve, understand business implications to solutions proposed, develop and apply creative solutions and implement those decisions effectively. Strong business partner skills
Strong interpersonal skills and relevant experience in professional relationship building and networking; including business negotiation and complex issue resolution.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Based in Greenfield as it requires hands-on management of the team as well as frequent interactions with business and finance stakeholders
