Overview / Responsibilities

Wood currently seeks a Solar Construction Commissioning Coordinator to support our domestic projects. This position will be site-based, and provide critical support to our Commissioning operations. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have strong administrative and organizational skills. Experience in the solar construction industry is preferred, but not necessary.

  • Review of project documentation including pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures
  • Work closely with the Project Commissioning Manager, and all other Site Project Management Teams
  • Must be able to take and follow directions clearly
  • Review of and able to read and interpret basic project drawings and test forms
  • Provide leadership in health, safety and environmental (HSE) issues on site and maintain overall responsibility for ensuring that the team complies with the HSE Plan
  • Assist in coordination of start-up activities with project management, engineering, construction, HSE, contractors, facility operations, and start-up personnel
  • Review and understand the commissioning plan and ensure it is in compliance with the appropriate external regulatory bodies and contractual deliverables
  • Assist in all deliverables to client and uploading to appropriate document based depositories
  • Liaise with commissioning and construction management, the client and Vendors to ensure efficient and timely service
  • Review all applicable construction and commissioning testing for accuracy including some 3 rd party testing
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years Administrative/Office background
  • Must have the ability to process and analyze testing data and demonstrate failure or acceptance of power systems
  • Must be OSHA 10 certified
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical safety; must have valid NFPA 70E certification or able to obtain certification
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) skills with the ability to engage and interface with other internal stakeholders and client representatives
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently while maintaining accountability to site management with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to learn is a must as this role will have many learning and training facets
  • Must be a US citizen or have authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
