3D Systems has an immediate need for a Facilities Coordinator to oversee facilities responsibilities. This individual will be responsible for the management of all building related services and processes that support the core business at our San Diego facility with over 90 employees and 40,000 square feet. The position must ensure that 3D Systems has the most suitable working environment for its employees and their activities. The coordinator is involved in planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises. This position is accountable for managing all aspects of service delivery for the property, asset management, facilities services, EHS coordination, project management and construction, vendor performance management, financial budgeting and shipping & receiving.
Primary Job Functions:
Ensure customer satisfaction with facility management by providing capable and responsive representation of 3D Systems to the client organizations -
Works with site leaders and managers to create formalized equipment maintenance plan including frequencies.
Provides regular facilities status updates on maintenance results and deficiencies.
Ensure proper tracking and reporting of facilities work orders for preventive and reactive maintenance
Direct supervision of all current & new vendor activities for services employed at the property level including day-to-day supervision of issues as they arise; i.e., cleaning, operations, repairs and maintenance, office supply areas, painting, sprinklers, HVAC, Electrical, fire control panels, security card access.
Project Management, supervision, consultation and collaboration with vendor partners to ensure all are complying with regulatory, code and scope of work and obligations per contracts
Manage shipping & receiving of packages, goods and documents.
Organize the loading dock and hallways to ensure compliance with emergency exits
Ensure performance and safety standards are met for third party vendors
Support leadership in the implementation of short and long-term operational projects for the site
Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agencies
Supports the development and updating of Emergency Action Plan, in collaboration with business and ensures site readiness
Supports EHS in overseeing facilities safety and training programs, first aid and First Responder program, Hazmat, Lock-out/Tag-out, chemical handling safety, MSDS data
Creates maps of office occupancy, tracks and manages moves, additions and changes to seating charts.
Coordinates site tours, employee events and activities as needed.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Supports maintenance mechanics and facilities staff by performing "handyman" maintenance duties such as furniture moves, simple electrical projects, spot painting and/or cleaning, light construction and/or exterior cleanup.
Works with outside contractors on building and equipment repairs.
Operates site equipment as needed, using hand and power tools as necessary.
May perform other activities such as audio-visual (AV) set up for meetings or conferences, inter-office mail deliveries, waste paper recycling, and stocking of employee break areas.
May maintain documentation such as power diagrams, network diagram, space usage, etc. and assist with the editing of media materials, such as tapes.
May provide support to vendors/contractors such as security force, cafeteria, media relations.
May assist in hosting corporate visitors/dignitaries.
External Education and Training
Relevant trade school certifications with a mechanical or electrical focus is desirable.
High School degree or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities management and coordination.
Experience in a manufacturing and/or lab environment is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have multifaceted experience in operations and facilities management
Must be a self-starter.
Must have experience with permitting and safety requirements
Microsoft office applications
