Work with new 401(k) participants through the steps of enrolling into the John Hancock 401(k) plan. Assist new 401(k) participants throughout the enrollment process. This generally includes assisting participants with defining their retirement goals, determining how much to contribute to align to these goals, and choosing investment options.
Member of an in-bound/out-bound phone-based team focused on enrolling new participants into their John Hancock 401(k) plan.
Educate and help 401(k) participants to better understand the benefits of contributing to their JH 401(k).
Ability to engage and capture interest of participant.
Ability to put the customer first while assisting them through the enrollment process Work directly with financial intermediaries (Plan Sponsors, Plan Consultants (TPAs) and Financial Advisors) and ultimately streamline the enrollment process into the JH 401(k) plan.
Deliver superior service in a professional manner to assist participants in their decision-making process.
Enter and prioritize workflows necessary to complete participant enrollments.

Proactively share knowledge to ensure team objectives are met.
Bachelor Degree preferred
1-3 years financial services industry experience
Knowledge of retirement plans including 401(k) rules and regulations
Some sales experience preferred
Knowledge of retirement plans with a focus on 401(k) plans
Ability to efficiently promote the benefits of 401(k) plans and the services we provide
Outstanding service and overall communication/negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate complex investment concepts in simple terms
Ability to consult with all customers
Ability to succeed in a team environment as well as being able to work independently towards mutual and individual goals/targets
Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and remain organized in a multiple task environment
