POSITION OVERVIEW:

TheSocial Work Supervisor has full responsibility for the on-going clinicalguidance of the clinical/case planner staff members. The Supervisor alsoprovides on-going training and supervision to the clinical staff. TheSupervisor may be called upon to perform any of the line functions normallyperformed by a social worker/case planner and is expected to be fullyproficient in those areas. The Supervisor is familiar with all PreventiveService and Child Welfare Standards and functions as an internal resource onsuch matters.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Providesregularly scheduled weekly supervision to all clinical/case planning staffmembers.
  • Evaluatesappropriateness of service plans (FASPs) and approves these based upon anunderstanding of any safety/risk concerns in the family and the service needsof the children and parents.
  • Facilitatesweekly clinical case conference as well as Family Team Conferences
  • Completesjob performance evaluations and provides professional development support on aregular basis.
  • Maysupervise student interns.
  • Responsiblefor intake on new referrals.
  • Providesfrequent and appropriate feedback to program stakeholders including ACS ChildProtection
  • UnderstandsACS/OCFS electronic systems including PROMIS and CNNX
  • Providesall necessary notes, progress notes, other paperwork as required by ACS andJBFCS including entering monthly supervisory notes in CNNX for CWScases and in the case record for ADVPO cases .
  • Coverfor Director in his/her absence

EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:

LCSWpreferred, LMSW with appropriate clinical experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:

Aminimum of three years of related experience in Child Welfare and/or FamilyTherapy.

Specializedexperience with specific client population or specialty (domestic violence,substance abuse, community outreach, etc.) is preferred.
