The Senior Compensation Manager will review, develop and implement compensation strategies and programs for the organization, including job descriptions/evaluations, merit/base pay program and incentive plans, sales compensation, area differentials, and supplemental pay programs. The role will ensure competitive positioning according to the relevant talent markets and effective execution to attract, motivate and retain a workforce that embraces our high-performing culture. The position also assists with the design and administration of executive compensation programs including equity awards, perquisites and deferred compensation and working with outside compensation consultants.
Designs and implements merit/base pay program for company workforce, including management of annual salary and compensation planning process.
Responsible for the analysis and administration of executive compensation programs including executive salary surveys, annual and long-term incentive programs, equity program administration and deferred compensation plan administration.
Provides consultation and administration for executive compensation matters to senior executives and human resources.
Responsible for developing materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board and preparing disclosures and proxy related materials.
Implements and maintains job classification structure including job grade determination, job descriptions and consulting with human resource management regarding promotions, hires and performance issues.
Coordinates with business operational and human resources leadership regarding compensation for hourly workforce.
Develops and manages short-term and long-term incentive plans, with some emphasis on sales incentive plans.
Conducts analysis to measure the effectiveness of compensation programs.
Analyzes industry specific and general market surveys to ensure competitive market position of salaries and compensation programs.
Applies knowledge of compensation policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws.
Supports corporate HR HRIS initiative including maintenance of current compensation systems and implementation of new platform.
Assists on developing communication material for the compensation programs.
Works with finance, tax, legal, and outside consultants to manage company's equity program.
Performs all other activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed.
5-7 years compensation experience with a large organization or consulting firm; public company experience preferred.
Executive and broad based compensation experience.
Strong proficiency in analytical and creative problem solving and modeling skills.
Strong proficiency skill with online salary management tools.
Total rewards program design skills including: competitive rewards practices and delivery methods.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Strong interpersonal, customer service and teamwork skills in dealing with senior management and outside consultants.
Expert project management skills and demonstrated ability to execute effectively and with accountability against program goals and time constraints.
Strong knowledge of legislation that may affect compensation policies.
Ability to collaborate and influence others effectively within HR, at the executive level, and cross-functionally.
Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills necessary.
Must possess strong software skills including HR information systems (Workday preferred), specific expertise in Microsoft Excel.
CCP or other HR or compensation related certifications preferred.
Incumbent may be asked to perform other duties as required.
Travel required: 10% - 15%.
