What's the role?

HERE is an established company with decades of experience in delivering maps for the automotive industry and other commercial partners. We are owned by a consortium of German automakers (Audi, BMW, and Daimler), industrial partners (Bosch, Continental, Mitsubishi) and Telco investor (NTT) with a focus on creating and maintaining the world's most precise and detailed digital maps for enabling many use cases in many industries.

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive who will be responsible for working closely with the HERE executive sales and business development team to win new business and nurture high level relationships in the Telco / Service Provider industry. We are seeking seasoned, polished, motivated, career driven individuals with strong communications skills and an entrepreneurial spirit who will thrive in our environment.

The main objectives of this role are
  1. Win new business for HERE products and services; expand the client roster; generate new revenue from existing products and services
  2. Support and further the company expansion in the Service Provider / Telco space through access to your network in this market
  3. Manage high level strategic relationships with key stakeholders in large accounts
  4. Network at industry events to build brand recognition and develop a pipeline of opportunities to close
  5. Continue to represent HERE as a thought leader in the market
  6. Be an inspiration to your network contacts and seed conversations with potential additional team members
HERE is seeking to supplement the Media, Advertising & Service Providers business development and sales team with an energetic, enthusiastic, self-starter. You will engage with the executives of large Service Providers / Telco accounts. You will be tasked to explore technology partnership and sales opportunities for the HERE suite of products and services.

The HERE Media, Advertising & Service Providers team at HERE is a cross-functional, fast acting, entrepreneurship driven and oriented team. It is a fun team to work with. We are innovating internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve aggressive customer base expansion and annual revenue generation goals
  • Research/generate new client leads.
  • Setup up meetings with potential clients.
  • Increase client base through business development
  • Represent HERE are conference and corporate events
  • Research and understand the market needs and dynamics pertaining to the geospatial segment
  • Remain knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and all aspects of the - company's market.
  • Travel to client offices to conduct new business meetings (occasional travel to Chicago and San Francisco is expected, frequent travel to New York City and Eastern Seaboard is a must)
  • Secure commercial contracts and work cross functionally with the legal, product and licensing departments at HERE

Who are you?

The candidate is expected to have prior sales and quota-bearing experience in the space of Service Providers / Telco sector, with familiarity in data and / or technology sales, and an interest in developing expertise in geospatial technologies and services.

The idea candidate is seeking an entrepreneurial role in a larger, established company and has a mixed profile of "hunter' and account "farmer". The candidate has a high tolerance for risk, ambiguity, complex deals and enjoys working proactively, autonomously and with a "can do" attitude.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience working in a business development and sales environment
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience working with clients and accounts in the Service Providers / Telco world
  • Knowledge and experience in the Service Providers / Telco marketplace
  • Knowledge of business models, pricing models and industry trends thereof
  • Understanding of the Service Providers / Telco innovation space and trends (5G, mobile edge computing, cloud services, IOT, etc)
  • A professional network in the Service Providers / Telco space
