Responsibilities


  • Support Modernization and Upgrades on existing material handling systems.

  • Perform site audits to collect required data.

  • Support the installation of mechanical upgrades.

  • Provide detailed layouts and documentation for all modernization scopes.

  • Create Purchase Requests and Parts Order Entry.

  • Drive activities related to ensuring new equipment is built to specification.

  • Provide technical support for Estimating, Sales, Engineering, and Field Operations.

  • Work hours as project needs dictate.

  • Travel approximately 25 percent can be expected to commission and support projects; including occasional weekends and holidays.

  • Complete assigned training courses as required.

  • Works with team members and customers to solve problems on-site.


Qualifications


  • BS in Engineering or related field, or 5 years of experience in the field may be considered. BS in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

  • Mechanical equipment operation or ability to learn to maintain and repair material handling systems

  • Knowledge of CAD design software including AutoCad

  • Familiarization with Computer Systems and Technologies.

  • Ability to solve complex design issues and implement effective and cost-efficient solutions.

  • Proven communications skills, flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team of solution-oriented professionals.

  • Organization, analytical, reasoning and problem solving

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records

  • Understanding and following directions

  • Working under pressure, meeting inflexible deadlines, and maintaining composure

  • May provide technical assistance to support staff and other employees.

    Represents the organization as an internal contact and possibly a key external contact.
