POSITION SUMMARY: Collaborates with the RN to provide a safe environment for the patients. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.* *Provides direct continual observation of patients requiring special precautions to ensure a safe environment during their hospital stay.* Sitters are responsible for remaining with the assigned patient at all times during their assigned shift.* Assists the R.N. to provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors and employees. Maintains professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources, as needed.* The concepts of the patient centered care delivery model will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
