The Cross-Connection Specialist is responsible for the administration of the state cross connection control program to ensure compliance with environmental regulations relating to cross connections and backflow prevention. The Specialist will provide direction to field operations, customers and other necessary functional groups.
Good to excellent working knowledge of all Federal, State and local requirements for Cross Connection and Backflow Prevention regulations, guidance or statutes.
Entering and tracking data in database, written and oral communication with various entities, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Share Point, etc.
One (1) to two (2) years education or working knowledge of regulations and program essentials.
High school diploma required; associates degree preferred.
Local and occasional overnight travel to districts may be required.
Licenses & Certifications
Certified Backflow Prevention Device Tester preferred.
Substantial time may be spent in the field visiting customers, answering questions on backflow device installation, and performing site inspections.
