Position Summary

ALT Sales Corp. is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Service Department with solid general office skills. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Prefer local candidates or those willing to relocate.

Essential Functions

  • Answer multi-line incoming telephone calls and provide exceptional customer service

  • Generates repair and work orders by entering  repairs and services required into service database system

  • Obtains Supervisor approvals and close repair and work orders

  • Generate billing information for internal and external customers

  • Conveying all necessary information regarding costs, parts, and work performed to Management

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers’ publications

  • Various administrative tasks such as processing documents, faxing, filing and data entry

  • Assist with Service Department operations in the absence of the Service Manager

  • May assist with parts inventory stocking and counting

  • Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations

  • Other tasks as assigned

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Experience with heavy construction equipment is preferred

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines

  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed

  • Able to sit for longs periods of time

  • Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment

  • Able to lift up to 20lbs.

  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Experience with NexGen or other maintenance software is a plus
