Job Description:

Job title: Assembler

Reports to: Assembly Lead

Status: Full-time, permanent

Location: Cleveland TN

Duties include, but are not limited, to:
  • Perform general assembly operations on sub-assemblies and final product
  • Fits, aligns, and assembles components and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools
  • Operate hand power tools, presses, mills, lathes, drills, lifts, control equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Perform quality control checks and verification of work order specifications
  • Understand the complete scope of assembly operations on particular station(s).
  • Work under general direction of lead

Required Skills:
  • Must be able to read drawings and any work instruction manuals.
  • Must possess broad knowledge of, and the ability to operate hand tools to include: measuring devices (tape measure, micrometers, veneer calipers), cordless screwdrivers, screwdrivers, nut drivers, center punches, hammers, crimping tools, drills, torque wrenches, torque screwdrivers, pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic hole punches, hand wrenches, etc.
  • Must be able to work in a safely in a manufacturing environment and wear Personal Protective Equipment
  • Must be able to meet physical demands and skills analysis of job

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient communication skills in written or spoken English
  • Be able to follow detailed Procedures in regards to PPE, material handling, etc.*
  • Aware of MSI/ergonomics*
  • Aware of WHMIS 2015*
  • Participate in EHS programs

Physical Requirements:
  • Be able to safely lift 50lbs
  • The ability to wear protective gear correctly most of the day
  • Must be able to climb ladders for 1+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to stand for 6+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to walk for 3+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to reach and grasp up to 3+ hours per shift

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have 2+ years of Assembly or Machine Operation experience in a manufacturing/warehouse setting.
